Learning outcomes in short: the Scalable Distributed Computing course aims to provide students with the necessary knowledge to:

  • Develop the ability to design and implement robust, efficient, and scalable distributed applications.
  • Understand the key principles, algorithms, and architectures of scalable distributed systems.
  • Manage time and state in distributed systems.
  • Analyze and solve problems related to distributed coordination and synchronization.
  • Design fault tolerance and recovery strategies.
  • Evaluate and choose appropriate distributed computing paradigms and tools.
